Badshot Lea opened their Combined Counties Premier Division South campaign with a creditable 1-1 draw at Thatcham Town.

The Baggies took the lead in the 41st minute when Conor Allison fired the ball into the bottom corner, but Callum Winchcombe equalised in first-half stoppage time to earn Thatcham a share of the spoils.
