WANDERING side Waverley CC were travelling light with only ten players when they visited Elstead on Sunday. Elstead were also short on numbers, but a gripping ten-a-side game ensued, the home side winning with their last pair at the wicket. Waverley, one of the few long-established clubs still playing friendly fixtures only, continue to enjoy their cricket in the tradition established by club doyen, the late Tony Harland. From left to right: back row – Suzie Brewer (scorer), Chris Beanland, James Wright, Jamie Harris, Tom Wenham, Marcus Carmichael; front row – Peter Brewer, Simon Brewer, Sam Tempest, Adrian Day, Laura Brewer.
