Missing your regular rugby fix during these quiet summer months?

If so, join the like-minded people who have been taking part in the Mixed Summer Touch Rugby League.

It runs every Wednesday, meeting at Alton’s rugby club at Anstey Park at 6.30pm, kicking off at 7pm.

Games run until 8.30pm and the bar is open throughout and afterwards.

Tom Crew from Alton Rugby Club said: “We’ve had more than 40 players at both the first two sessions.

“The sessions are open to anyone, club members and non-members.

“Players don’t need any experience of playing rugby and it’s non-contact.

“Anyone aged 12 and above can take part, boys and girls – although anyone under 18 needs to have an adult with them.

“All players need is to bring along appropriate clothing and footwear – trainers or moulded-stud boots – to take part.”

The last session this year will be on Wednesday, July 19.
