Art fans will be seventh heaven next week as an exclusive exhibition will be unveiled in a Haslemere gallery.

Seven local artists who work in ceramics, collage, painting and mixed media have been brought together for the ‘Layered’ exhibition in Gallery 13.

The pieces built up through glaze, paper, pigment and mark-making come together to explore how sea, land, memory and material accumulate over time.

The month-long exhibition featuring original work by Geraldine Joaquim, Georgia Bazin, Nicky Chubb, Tim Mullins, George Simpson, Kirsty McNay and Amanda Mcgaril will open at 7pm next Thursday (October 15).

The West Street gallery run by Marty Farrer-Williams provides a venue for local artists to display and sell their works, while regularly hosting workshops and ‘meet the maker’ events.
