The festive break is nearly over – and sport resumes again this weekend.

In the Combined Counties League, our three local sides are all in Premier South action tomorrow (Saturday).

Badshot Lea, harbouring realistic promotion hopes after an excellent first half of the season, face a tricky local derby at Guildford City.

Alton are also on their travels, making the trip to Cobham, while Farnham Town have home advantage when they take on Fleet.

During the break, the draw was made for the third round of the Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge Cup.

Alton will have home advantage when they take on North Greenford United, who have been struggling in the Premier North Division – although they have matches in hand on most teams in the division.

The league are hoping the match can take place on Tuesday, February 7.

On the rugby field, Farnham and Alton enjoy home advantage tomorrow (Saturday).

High-riding Farnham entertain Horsham in Regional 2 South East, while Alton will be hoping to start moving up the Counties 1 Hampshire table, although they face a tough task against fourth-placed Havant II.

Both matches kick off at 2pm.
