HAMPSHIRE Premier League leaders Infinity travelled to Liphook United who had knocked them out of the County Intermediate Cup earlier in the season, and gained revenge with a 2-1 victory.

Jamie White scored for Infinity either side of half-time after Steve Harding had put Liphook in front on 20 minutes.

In the top-of-the-table clash, Paulsgrove won 1-0 at Bush Hill, thanks to a Danny Lane goal, and remain just three points behind Infinity with games in hand.

The promotion battle got even tighter as the two clubs who have been recommended for Step 6 ground-grading and have applied for promotion, experienced mixed fortunes.

Stockbridge beat Hayling United 7-1, remarkably with seven different scorers: Mark Gardner, Steve Lace, Dave Moore, Michael Barker, Josh Graham, Lewis Price-Lloyd, Leon Sargent.

Sway, meanwhile, crashed to a 7-2 defeat at Clanfield. James Barker and Harry Potter both scored twice for Clanfield, while Matt Rowland, Oliver Amos and Josh Hazell got one apiece.

Fleetlands’ relegation fears increased as they went down 4-2 away to Liss Athletic. Josh Benfield’s brace of goals took his season’s tally to 31 and James Knight and Leon Lyons were also on target.

Netley Central Sports went top of the Division One table with a crushing 7-1 win at rock-bottom Michelmersh, Alex White scoring a hat-trick.

Four Marks lost ground as Headley came from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw.

Goals from Todd Fisher and Ricky Peters seemed to have put the visitors in control, but Headley scored twice in the space of four minutes, Max Heath and Steve Brown getting the goals.

Four Marks are six points behind Netley, but have a game in hand. The sides meet at Four Marks on April 21.

Kevin Viuvell and an own goal gave Upham a 2-0 victory over AFC Petersfield.
