THREE matches were played in I’Anson Division Three on the last day of the season and Chris Wilson must have wished the season was just starting after scoring 130 not out for Tilford II against Peper Harow.
The opener hit 19 fours and two sixes and with Hamish Macdonald (55) also rolling back the years, Tilford posted 216-3 in 45 overs.
They were unable to dismiss Peper Harow, however. Glenn Taylor (42), skipper Steve Bradley (47) and Marcus Price (32) made sure of an honourable draw at 187-7. Martin Knott bowled well for his 4-44 in 14 overs.
Thursley, after their narrow failure to gain promotion, recovered from a bad start at Kingsley to total 216-7, thanks to a belligerent late partnership between captain Steve Fuller (73) and Chris Olley (59 not out.
Derek Agge, attempting to set a new league record after his remarkable run of three successive centuries, was bowled for 23 by Adam Robinson.
Robinson then led a rearguard action with 43 not out as Kingsley, who finish second from bottom, salvaged two points, ending on 160-9.
Dogmersfield II, set 201 to win by bottom side Frensham III, raced to a six-wicket victory in 39 overs. Khush Subhani played a captain’s innings of 69 not out, sharing an unbroken stand with Subash Gurung (32 not out).
