Rowledge Cricket Club are looking forward to the upcoming 2026 season.
The club have three Saturday sides, who will all start their 18-game league campaigns on Saturday, May 2.
In Southern Premier League Division One, Rowledge’s first team will be looking to continue their reputation of competing against the best sides in the county. Now one of the longest serving clubs in the division, they will be looking to build on last season’s fifth-placed finish.
The side will be welcoming a new overseas player for 2026, with batting all-rounder Archie Redfern arriving from New Zealand.
While the first team have lost Ethan and Max Martin, there will be opportunities for youngsters to step up.
The return from injury of Will Ryman is like a new signing for the team, with his all-round credentials missed in 2025.
The all-round qualities of Ollie Baker and Olly Ryman will be important to the team, and it is a big season for batters Zac Le Roux, Ryan Littlewood and Jonty Sebborn.
The side's average age remains young, but there are two experienced players that remain part of the unit. All-rounder David Lloyd starts another season in the first team ready to add to his 372 Southern Premier League appearances, while wicket-keeper Ben Wish remains captain and is set to take on his 11th season in charge.
In County Division Two, Rowledge’s second team will be led by Ben Davidson for the second consecutive year. He will have the support of experienced campaigners Ricky Yates and Richard Forbes, complimented by a promising crop of younger players looking to push the side to the top half of the division.
The third team are captained by Mike Hincliffe. The club have continued to develop youngsters through his leadership, and they will once again be competing in the Hampshire Cricket League.
