THE I’Anson Knockout Cup Finals Day, postponed last weekend due to England’s possible appearance in the World Cup final, takes place at Blackheath this Sunday.
Aptly, Blackheath are one of the finalists.
The day will be the climax of the restructured knockout competitions, with clubs playing a round-robin format in four regionalised groups.
The group winners contested the Stevens Cup semi-finals, with the runners-up competing in the Pope Cup semi-finals.
The I’Anson are hoping for good support at the pleasant Blackheath ground. The host club will be laying on a bar, barbecue and other refreshments.
