HASLEMERE consolidated their mid-table position in the Surrey Championship Division Four with a comfortable win over bottom side Hampton Wick.
Deciding to bat first at Bushy Park, Hampton built a decent total, thanks to the consistency of their top order, keeper Max Germain leading the way with an aggressive 51 off 32 balls, including four sixes.
Otherwise, Haslemere kept the run-rate in check, with Chris May and Sam Williams bowling accurate 14-over spells.
Set 215 to win, Haslemere were given a great start by openers Chris Hooker and Lee Clement who put on 91 before Hooker was caught for 50.
Clement went for 37 soon after, but Scott Boxall and Chris Spooner added a further 60 runs. When Boxall went for a rapid 44, Spooner and Sam Williams knocked off the remaining runs in fine style, Spooner completing his second successive half-century.
