LAND Rover owners have been encouraged to consider additional security after a spate of vehicle thefts.

The warning follows an incident late on October 9 or in the early hours of the next day when a red, P-reg Land Rover Defender 110 was stolen from Isington, near Froyle.

Police community support officer David Nops said older vehicles are often easier targets for thieves and sometimes end up used in ram raids.

He suggested Land Rover owners consider precautions such as fitting a tracker or an immobiliser to their vehicles.

Anyone with any information should call the police on 101, quoting reference 44170392592.
