Petersfield’s Repair Café is to become a permanent fixture with a date set for its official launch.

More than 143 items from jumpers to jewellery have been repaired or looked at since the venture opened in the Avenue pavilion in March for a trial period.

The pilot has been a huge success with an official launch taking place at the venue from 2pm this Saturday.

The event will celebrate the 50 volunteers involved and the businesses and partnerships which have played a part, like the Petersfield WI.

Both the town and district council provided funding while PeCAN secured support and advice from the likes of Petersfield Men’s Shed, Hampshire County Council, and the Repair Café teams from Buriton, Havant and South Harting.
