INSPIRATIONAL ‘bionic girl’ Tilly Lockey will make a guest appearance at Haslemere Hall at 7.30pm this Friday (August 23).

Tilly was able to use her state of the art bionic arms to decorate a Hero Hound for Haslemere Hounds’ town arts project in aid of Meningitis Now - a cause very close to her heart.

She lost both of her hands after contracting meningitis as a baby and is now at the forefront of testing the technology.

Tilly, whose triumph over adversity has made her a national role model, will be at a special screening of Alita:Battle Angel, a sci-fi fantasy action drama.

She will be there at the invitation of Haslemere Hounds, the fundraising town arts project masterminded by Brian Howard and Melissa King.

Fans will have an opportunity to meet the inspirational teenager and watch the film in which the abandoned Alita is found in the scrapyard of Iron City by Ido, a compassionate cyber-doctor who helps her navigate the treacherous streets of Iron City.
