Drivers in and around East Hampshire will have 11 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And six of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A3, from 8pm January 14 to 6am January 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Weston to Berelands, Lane closure for grass cutting work.

A3, from 9pm October 23 2023 to 6am March 2 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for electrical work.

And a further nine closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A3, from 8pm January 15 to 6am January 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Berelands to Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Lane closures for drainage work.

A3, from 8pm January 15 to 5am January 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 southbound, Griggs Green, slip road and lane closure for barrier repairs.

A3, from 8pm January 18 to 6am January 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Berelands to Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Lane closures for drainage work.

A3, from 8pm January 18 to 6am January 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 both directions Flexcombe, slip road and lane closures for drainage work.

A3, from 8pm January 19 to 6am January 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 northbound, Chalton, exit slip and lane closure for signage maintenance works.

A303, from 9pm January 19 to 6am January 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 westbound, Stockbridge Road, entry slip road closure for grass cutting works, diversion via local authorities network.

A3, from 8pm January 22 to 6am January 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 southbound, Hogs Back to Longmoor, carriageway closure for maintenance works.

A3, from 9pm January 26 to 6am January 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3M southbound, junction 2, entry slip road closure for construction improvement works, diversion via National Highways Network.

A3, from 8pm January 29 to 6am February 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for tunnel maintenance, diversion via Highways England network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
