RESIDENTS of an East Hampshire care home are in terrific hands as one of its nurses is the country’s best.

Sheeba Lalson was named Care Nurse of the Year at the National Care Awards 2023 at Excel London.

The recipient has worked at the 28-bedroom Wisteria Lodge Care Home in Horndean since 2014 and has 20 years of experience in the nursing industry.

Her employers also had a good night as they were finalists in the Care Registered Nurse of the Year and Lifetime Achievement in Care categories.

Sheeba is a big part of the team at the family-run home and plays a crucial role in addressing the clinical needs and well-being of residents

“We are thrilled and honoured that Sheeba received the Care Nurse of the Year award,” said directors Andy and Martina Brown.

“This victory is a testament to the passion, empathy and professionalism of our dedicated team at Wisteria Lodge and we are so proud of Sheeba’s achievement.”
