LAST year’s Poppy Appeal in Liphook has raised £12,000, with more expected to come in.

Colonel Jimmy Jack, who runs the Bramshott and Liphook British Legion appeal, said: “We are very pleased with the amount collected during the 2015 appeal and still waiting for more money to come in.

“The record amount collected was in 2013 which amounted to just under £13,000.

“The funds will go towards assisting more disabled ex-Service personnel and bereaved widows and their families, who need help, the provision of adequate medical and surgical care, support for families of the dead and wounded, and provision of legal advice – as well as representation at inquests and awards.”
