Northbrook Park near Farnham was the stage for a lavish Conservative Party fundraising dinner last week – topping up the party’s coffers for next year’s anticipated general election.

Members of the Godalming & Ash and Farnham & Bordon Conservative associations, until recently joined up under the South West Surrey banner, came together for the gala event on Wednesday, November 29.

It was hosted at the Northbrook Park country manor and wedding venue, owned by Conservative Party donor Nicolas Roach.

Tickets for the gala dinner were priced at £100 each (general admission) or £150 for a place at the top table with the Chancellor of the Exchequer himself.

Guests could also book a whole table for ten people for £950, plus a £79.80 booking fee, and were invited to make additional donations on top of their ticket price.

Current South West Surrey MP Jeremy Hunt will contest the new Ash & Godalming seat at the next general election, while fellow Tory Greg Stafford will battle for the new Farnham & Bordon seat.
