A MAN needed hospital treatment after suffering a fractured eye socket in an unprovoked attack in Liss early this week.

The 67-year-old was assaulted from behind while walking along the Riverside Walk trail around 7.30pm last Monday (October 9).

The incident took place minutes after the victim, who was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital for treatment, walked past someone behaving oddly in a bush.

The victim was attacked by a 5’ 10” white male aged 20 to 25 with an average build and short dark hair.

The culprit was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap with an oval or circle-shaped logo on the front.
