A COMMUNITY forum heard the Bramshott and Liphook Parish Plan, presented by its steering committee’s chairman Trevor Maroney, was a “living document” that would evolve with the community itself.
Councillor Adam Carew said there was a “lot of exciting stuff” in the plan, but seemed cautious about a perceived desire for a swimming pool and was particularly worried about funding such a facility.
Mr Maroney explained he was well aware of the cost implications and was just asking for a study to gauge the feasibility of a swimming pool.
Yvonne Parker-Smith, chairman of the Whitehill and Bordon Community Forum, said: “The district council are most grateful to the team who put such efforts into producing the parish plan. This shows an enthusiasm and commitment to striving for the best for Bramshott and Liphook.
“The parish plan is neither a Local nor a Neighbourhood one, but an expression of the identified needs of the community.
“I am sure that, while not a Local Plan, it will be most useful in helping with the preparation of the emerging Neighbourhood Plan for the parish, which with East Hampshire District Council’s core strategy and allocations document, will make up the development plan for the area.
“This meeting therefore notes the parish plan and thanks all of those responsible for its preparation.”
