Plans for 30 new homes next to a recreation ground in Liss have been tentatively backed by parish councillors.
Members of the Liss Parish Council planning committee raised no objection to the design of the estate south of Inwood Road proposed by Property Experts Ltd when they met last Monday.
But they have asked planning officers at the South Downs National Park Authority to examine roof heights and want to see affordable housing on the 0.9 hectare plot between Newman Collard, the junior school and East Hill House.
No affordable housing or off-site financial contribution is currently proposed as the applicants claim it will affect the viability of the scheme, although talks with SDNPA-approved providers are ongoing.
