FOLLOWING a recent attempted ram raid and break-in at Liphook’s post office, located in the Co-op store on Headley Road, customers will be able to use a mobile van over the next few weeks.

A Post Office spokesman said: “The mobile post office van that operates out of Grayshott visited Liphook last Friday to see if it was possible to help supply a service and was able to operate from the Co-op car park during the afternoon, serving customers.

“The Grayshott mobile has agreed to visit the site for the next two weeks on a Friday and operate from 9.30am until 11.30am, as well as from 1.30 to 3.30pm, with a bit of flexibility depending on customer demand.

“Post Office and Southern Co-op are working hard to restore full-time postal services to the store as soon as possible, however, it is not known how long it will take before the branch can operate as normal.

“The mobile service will help to serve the Liphook community in the interim.

“Other alternative post offices in the area include Grayshott, Lindford, Bordon and Haslemere.”
