A Place To Be youth group in Haslemere is running a low-cost summer camp for young people aged 11 to 14 this August.

The four-day camp will run from August 18 to 21 at a farm on Holdfast Lane on the outskirts of Haslemere, fully catered and with tents included.

The young people will get to try a number of activities such as camp fires, canoeing, mindfulness and various crafts.

A Place To Be youth club is run on a community-led and not-for-profit basis, and exists to provide support and activities for young people in the Haslemere area who would otherwise have no alternative.

It runs a weekly term-time youth club for young people 11 to 14 years of age, and offers many opportunities to try new activities, develop skills and pursue new interests – as well as offering mindfulness and mental health support.

The camp costs £150, which can be paid in instalments. Help with payment is also available for those who ask.
