The Haslemere and Hindhead Branch of the RNLI recently held a Ceilidh – an evening of dance and music – to raise money for the RNLI.

Seventy-four people attended Our Lady of Lourdes Church Hall in Haslemere and more than £1,600 was raised for the lifeboats.

The evening began with bagpipes by Xander Urquhart. Caller Chris Blevins started the dances slowly but increased the complexity until the attendees were trying a complicated eight reel.
