A community between Petersfield and Bordon is divided this evening after a tree fell on the only route through the village.
There was no through traffic through Greatham at the time of writing as Petersfield Road was closed between Silver Birch Mews and Todmore.
A fallen tree brought down power cables with police closing the road while a cutting and clean-up operation took place.
Friendly villagers at either end of the traffic alerted motorists with traffic being detoured via the A325 and A3 in the interim.
The road is expected to reopen shortly as the problematic tree sections had been moved to the verge when the Post & Herald drove by just after 6pm.
