It has been a year and a half since the world was rocked by the Queen’s passing, and Grayshott wants to commemorate the UK’s longest serving monarch.

It really has taken a village to get this memorial going with Grayshott Pottery completely funding and donating it, resident and artist Phil Bates designing it, and Grayshott Parish Council first putting the commemorative idea forward. Lindford’s Spedo (UK) Ltd is making the memorial with Bordon’s Spencer Marsh of Forbes Design creating the CAD drawings for the complicated detailed laser cutting.

Once finished, the memorial’s home will be in pride of place in the village square. Phil has chosen a contemporary design, set to stand five feet high – and it will be made to last thanks to its stainless steel finish. The plan is to erect the Queen's Memorial in time for the second anniversary of the Queen’s passing on September 8 2024.
