Scouts from 5th Farnham and 1st Haslemere joined 700 other young people from across Surrey on a Swiss adventure this summer.

The intrepid youngsters enjoyed a week of activities at Kandersteg International Scout Centre (KISC) in Kandersteg, which is this year celebrating its centenary.

They also met some of their Swiss counterparts and fellow scouts from Australia, Germany, Spain, Israel, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal and other parts of the UK.

The scouts walked high into the mountains, rafted from Thun to Bern, and went high into the trees on a high rope course in Interlaken.

Some scouts also went up the Schilthorn – the mountain in the Bond movie – visited Rothorn via a steam ship and train, dipped their toes into the thermal pools in Brigerbad, tried tobogganing at Lake Oeschinen and tested the zip wire and Trotti bikes in Grindelwald.
