The Met Office has issued a warning of strong winds expected to hit Hampshire on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
The yellow warning for London and South East England suggests that the winds could cause power cuts and travel disruption.
Gusts of up to 50 mph inland and over 60 mph for some coastal areas are possible, along with heavy rain and spray.
The warning suggests there could be delays to road, rail, air, and ferry transport, and some short-term loss of power and other services.
The affected regions and local authorities include Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Oxfordshire, Portsmouth, Southampton, and West Berkshire on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the warning will affect Brighton and Hove, East Sussex, West Sussex, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, and Wiltshire, among others.
