Guildford’s legendary festival Guilfest is back with a bang, returning after an eight year gap this summer, on Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17, in the beautiful grounds of Hurtwood Park Polo Club, Cranleigh.

To celebrate the occasion, the Herald has teamed up with Guilfest founder Tony Scott to offer a lucky reader two tickets to this year’s festival, worth £49.50 each!

To stand a chance of winning, simply fill in the form on Page 49 of this week’s Herald, and send it to: Herald Guilfest Competition, 114-115 West Street, Farnham, GU9 7HL, before midday on Thursday, July 7.

Headliners at this year’s Guilfest include disco legends Sister Sledge, bringing their huge plethora of hits including We Are Family, Frankie, He’s the Greatest Dancer and Lost in Music.

If that’s not enough, Bjorn Again, Dodgy, Peter Hook & The Light (Joy Division, New Order), Bez, Baccara with their disco hit Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, and not forgetting those country bumpkin heroes, The Wurzels, will also be performing, with many others.

But Guilfest is not just about the music. There’s lots of other things going on, including a riotous comedy tent headlined by Simon Brodkin and Paul McCaffrey. If you want to relax, there is a wellness and yoga garden where you can treat yourself to a massage and join a drop-in yoga or fitness class.

There’s an art and craft village running workshops such as making a flower crown or carving a wooden spoon throughout the weekend.

Dine out on delicious street food from all over the world, and have a glass of wine, beer or Prosecco from the bar.

Other acts confirmed include SPACE, Republica, Johnny Moped, Old Time Sailors, Definitely Oasis, The Counterfeit Stones, and The Jones Gang as well as lots of local acts on The Boileroom and Big Mouth stages.

Tickets are strictly limited to 5,000 per day. There will also be shuttle buses running to and from Guildford main train station to the festival each day.

Tickets can be purchased from www.guilfest.co.uk
