Yarn lovers can knit or crochet while they watch a film about wool and a sheep named Cow next month.

Paul Wyatt is bringing Sheep, Actually - his charming documentary about wool manufacturing, crafting and sheep - to the Farnham Maltings on September 9 as a curtain-raiser to its Unravel yarn festival.

He said: “I believe the lives of these remarkable animals are not as well understood as they should be. I wanted to create a way for people to see them and be encouraged to learn more about their lives.”

The 11am and 3pm screenings will be dimly-lit so the audience can do woolly crafts. A question and answer session with Paul and The Wonder of Wool co-author Justine Lee follows the 8pm one. For tickets visit farnhammaltings.com
