Crime has been steadily rising in and around Haslemere since February this year, according to Surrey Police data.

In June, the police recorded 44 crimes in Haslemere, Grayswood and Chiddingfold, compared to the 33 crimes in February. 

Anti-social behaviour crimes saw a steep rise with violence and sexual offences dropping compared to previous months. 

Weydown Road car park and Kiln Avenue were this month’s crime hotspots with both sites reporting five crimes including violence and sexual offences, anti-social behaviour, vehicle crime and criminal damage and arson.
