Cows will soon move from Lynchmere Common
CONSERVATION-grazing Belted Galloway cows on Lynchmere Common will be leaving the heathland next month to have their calves in nearby fields.
Edwin Brooks of Cow Club (www.lynchmeregrazing.com) said: “Our trial reintroduction of grazing for The Lynchmere Society has been a great success – they have done a fantastic job of grazing down the scrub which is vital for creating habitat. We’d like to thank all the responsible dog owners, Cow Club members and the local community – fingers crossed we have a few calves this spring.”
