A man accused of multiple rapes and indecent assaults of boys in Milford and Farnham two decades ago is to appear in court in the new year.

Christopher Coleman, 62, currently of HMP High Down prison, appeared at Guildford Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on December 1.

He is accused of two counts of rape and 11 counts of indecent assault of boys aged under 16, as well as four counts of causing a male aged 13 or over to engage in penetrative sexual activity.

The offences are all alleged to have taken place between 1998 and 2006, when Mr Coleman was aged 37 to 45. Three victims have come forward.

Every offence is alleged to have taken place in Milford, with the exception of one count of causing a man aged over 16 years old to engage in sexual activity when he did not consent in Farnham between January 1 and December 31, 2005.

Mr Coleman has been remanded in custody to next appear at Guildford Crown Court on February 8, and has not yet entered any pleas.
