FORMAL plans have been submitted for the redevelopment of Chase Community Hospital at Bordon, which will cost in the region of £3m.
The plans were submitted to East Hampshire District Council by NHS Property Services, which owns the site, on behalf of NHS South Eastern Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group, the GP-led organisation responsible for planning local health services.
The NHS is not required to submit plans for the internal redevelopment of the site in Conde Way – work which will account for most of the £2.9m earmarked for the scheme.
It has however submitted an application for extra spaces in the car park and for a dedicated entrance to the GP surgery or surgeries which will be moving into the hospital.
