A CALL has been made to the generous people of Petersfield as the food bank is running low on some items.

Supplies of tinned meat, pasta sauce, jam and marmalade, small cartons of custard and coffee refill packs could do with topping up.

Residents have also been asked to donate sanitary products, toilet roll, washing up liquid and washing powder if possible for the town’s less fortunate residents.

Volunteers have also started filling Christmas hampers so donations of chocolate oranges, packets of Matchmakers, tinned ham, jam and small panettone will be gratefully received.

Donations can be dropped-off in supermarkets and other points around the town with distribution sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays.
