CYCLING UK Alton is calling on cyclists to join them for easy-paced monthly bike rides, taking in some beautiful Hampshire countryside while in the saddle.
To include a café stop, the rides will provide an opportunity to meet other like-minded folk, and newcomers are most welcome.
The cyclists meet on a Friday morning at 9.30am outside Alton Community Centre and cover about 15 miles at a gentle pace, and no one will get left behind. E-bikes are also welcome.
A Cycling UK Alton spokesman said: “If you’re thinking about getting fitter this summer, meeting new people, seeing more of our beautiful countryside, or all these things, then getting out for a bike ride fulfils all of these in one go.”
The next easy-paced ride is tomorrow (April 20) when the group will head for the café at Alice Holt Forest.
The advice for anyone joining a group ride is to carry a pump, a spare inner tube, and a rainproof top.
Otherwise, just turn up at the start, or call Janice on 01420 80783.
