THE Durand Academy has lodged an appeal to contest the decision made by the South Downs National Park Authority to refuse permission for some new buildings on the site of the boarding school in West Sussex. Planning consent is already in place to use the existing buildings on site for boarding pupils, but a successful appeal will mean governors can expand the school further and increase its sporting facilities.
