EDGEBOROUGH School has seen its sponsored sailboat Edging Ahead safely delivered to Frensham Pond for Sailability sailing.

Sailability was one of Edgeborough’s nominated charities last year.

It aims to enrich the lives of people of all abilities – the elderly, the financially and socially disadvantaged as well as people with physical challenges, through sailing.

There is a range of sailing available from therapeutic to competitive sailing all within a safe, caring and social environment.

Tom Robson, the head of Edgeborough Charities, said: “We are extremely proud to support this charity. The sailing is based just down the road at the beautiful Frensham Pond and it is wonderful to see Edging Ahead arrive, knowing it will enable access to many who would otherwise be unable to take part in this fantastic outdoor sport and bring much pleasure to them.”

Sailability sailing hopes to re-start its activities in September when safe to do so.

Edgeborough is a prep school in Farnham which provides education for 350 students aged between two and 13.
