TROJANS III, fourth in the table, proved no match for Haslemere Ladies who continued their challenge for the Hampshire League title with another convincing win.

Haslemere didn’t get the best of starts. They lost Mel Knight to an early injury, meaning a readjustment to the defensive line-up, and Trojans grabbed the lead during this period.

But the home side took a grip of the game with positive, fast-paced hockey and were soon level.

By the interval, Haslemere led 2-1 and coach Pete Crook made certain they were in the right mood to secure the game and three more precious points in the second half.

Goals from Heidi Wells, Alex Hardy, Hannah Enticknap, Celia Hall and a fine hat-trick from Alice Toynton completed a deserved and impressive scoreline.

Yateley away this Saturday and Alton at home on April 1 before the big one against Aldershot & Farnham at Woolmer Hill on April 8, but Haslemere are taking it one game at a time.
