Petersfield Golf Club’s ladies held their annual prizegiving – which preceded their traditional Christmas dinner, fun quiz and sing-along.
Ladies’ captain Jennifer Neal and club captain Richard Williams presented the prizes. A raffle raised £450 for Hounds for Heroes, which is Neal’s charity during her year of captaincy.
Club champion Lesley Eaton received the Championship Salver for the sixth year running and her eighth since 2012.
Player of the Year was Sarah Gibson, whose handicap tumbled from 31 to 25.5.
Gibson, who has only been playing golf for two years, said: “It’s a great honour to receive this award with so many good players in contention.”
The club’s ladies’ vice-captain was announced at the event – Jackie Carter will be vice to next year’s ladies’ captain Heidi Oliver.
