EARLY starters in Cowdray Park?Golf Club’s December Medal had to contend with frosty fairways and frozen greens.

But the wintry conditions held little fear for club champion Todd White who recorded the day’s lowest gross score for the second consecutive month.

His net 68 further reduced his handicap to 2, his lowest yet. Only one shot behind on 69 was Simon Small from a group of players on 73.

There were fireworks in Division Two where John Hall burned up the course with a net 63, earning an exceptional handicap reduction to 11.

Roger Powell won Division Three with a net 69, by one shot from runner-up Richard Kendall, both earning a one-shot handicap reduction.
