AFTER a quiet period for the club, Farnham Roller Hockey’s U11s and U13s resumed tournament action last weekend.

The U11s competed at Maidstone and faced a tough task against mighty Herne Bay 1 in their first game. It was fast and furious and young goalkeeper Seb Alexanda made many fine stops, but Herne Bay romped to a 13-0 win.

The match against Herne Bay 2 was more even and Farnham’s attacking play and good team-work resulted in two excellent goals from Lelani Petzer and Jack Webber. Final score: 2-0 to Farnham.

The U15s travelled to Herne Bay for their fourth tournament of the season. Farnham also suffered at the hands of Herne Bay 1, losing 8-0. Farnham took the lead against Herne Bay United, but superior long-range shooting saw the home side win 6-1.

The final game was officially recorded as a 10-0 win to Farnham due to Herne Bay 2 being involved in a tournament in France. A friendly match against a scratch Herne Bay side was drawn 3-3.

Results in Pool B should mean that Farnham Seniors have finished second overall and have qualified for the championship play-offs in June.
