OLD Dean showed what a hard team they are to beat when they romped away with the Hunter Cup for a third successive year.

Fielding a strong team against Rowledge at Frensham’s green on Saturday, Old Dean were contained for the first dozen or so ends on one rink, but were never challenged on the other in this two-rink game.

Rowledge were well supported, but never had a chance to get in front and had to settle for runners-up, going down 50-18.

Frensham chairman Robin Dibdin had earlier welcomed and congratulated both teams on reaching the final. Sheila Haytree, Frensham’s president, presented the runners-up cup and medals to Grahame Potter of Rowledge before Chris Dick collected the Hunter Cup on behalf of Old Dean.
