TROJANS III 1, ALDERSHOT & FARNHAM 1
ANOTHER draw for Aldershot & Farnham Ladies and their lead over Haslemere is now down to a single point with four games to go.
Despite the unusual 4.30pm push-back time in Southampton, A&F made an energetic start against fourth-placed Trojans and dominated the first ten minutes. However, the visitors conceded a short corner and Trojans took advantage to find the bottom corner at breakneck speed and then hold their 1-0 lead until half-time.
Aldershot & Farnham gave it everything in the second half and their hard work eventually paid off with the equaliser.
Katrina Hellier hit the ball across the D and Evie Kenna, after sprinting to the baseline, fought her way past the keeper to plant the ball in the net.
A&F dominated the rest of the game, limiting Trojans to a few breakaway attacks, but couldn’t quite force the winner, although they were unlucky to have what seemed a legitimate goal disallowed in the last seconds.
