LIPHOOK infant and junior schools have been a “paint pot of creativity" as pupils were immersed in an inspiring week of art.

Each year group had a different abstract artist as their focal point, ranging from Kandinsky to Klee and Picasso, and were able to explore and develop their own creative talents at the same time.

The week culminated in a fantastic whole school exhibition for parents to come and admire all their children’s masterpieces.

During the week, children also had the opportunity to work alongside talented artists from Bramshott and Liphook Arts and Crafts Society, who gave their time freely to work with and share their expertise.

The national ‘Big Draw’ art event was launched on October 1 and every child made a contribution by enthusiastically collaborating on a giant “doodle tapestry”.

Executive headteacher Michele Frost said: “It is fantastic our children get an opportunity to focus on art in depth, using a variety of media. It has been wonderful to see the development of artistic talents of all our students all week.”
