A MAN from Liss has been jailed and another from Liphook remanded in custody after a steel wheelie bin was struck by a freight train after being pushed on to line at Liphook.

Jacob Kirby, 21, of Station Road, Liss, was given 10 months in prison and Ashley Keatings, 20, of Hazelbank Close, Liphook, was remanded in custody and will return to court on Friday, March 25, pending medical reports.
