LIPHOOK’S latest state-of-the-art care home, scheduled to open in 2018, launched its first stage of construction with a ground breaking event at Bramshott Grange.

The event was attended by East Hampshire District Council chairman David Ashcroft, Mayflower Care Communities operations director Ann Saunders, development director Jim Fogden, home director Neil Young, homes director of Bramshott Grange, Libby Barnes as well as Guy Hayward of Haywood Construction and Magnus Petts, Chessman’s senior surveyor.

Mrs Barrett, who will be managing the care home, which is part of the Bramshott Place Village development, told The Herald: “The luxury interior-designed home will have additional facilities which include a café, cinema, a fully equipped gymnasium, beauty salon, private dining room and spacious living areas.

“The home will also be surrounded by large landscaped gardens, with some rooms on the ground floor having access directly into the gardens via french windows and with lovely views all around.”

The care home for 67 residents on the old King George Hospital site, is due to employ approximately 70 full-time staff and was given planning permission after a nine-day appeal hearing in 2015.

Mayflower claims people who work in care homes are very special and need to feel valued, It also says homes in which the management and staff are respected and supported, will respect and support the people they care for with its core values of compassion, dignity, trust and respect.
