POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A286 at Henley Hill between Midhurst and Fernhurst.
Emergency services were called after a silver Mercedes was spotted down a steep embankment, at around 12.50pm on March 5.
The driver, a 32-year-old man from London, was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner’s officer has been informed. The road was closed for around six hours for recovery work.
Sergeant Peter Verney, from Sussex Police, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the Mercedes driving along the A286 or in Midhurst town centre between 2am and 9am on Sunday, March 5, morning.” Witnesses can call 101.
