A CONTROVERSIAL planning application at Bramshott Place Village for 40 cottages and a 64-bedroom care home has been turned down by East Hampshire District Council's planning committee, despite recommendation by its officers.

Marilyn Ogden who is a member of the residents' association, said: "The majority of residents of BPV are delighted EHDC planning committee took the decision to refuse this application."
