DESPITE a frosty start to the day, more than 60 residents, as well as several parish councillors, a district councillor and members of a number of village organisations ventured forth to help tidy up the parish.
The annual community litter pick was organised by Liphook in Bloom and Paul Robinson from Bramshott and Liphook Parish Council, on Sunday.
The event attracted a diverse age group from young Scouts and Guides to octogenarians.
After the necessary health and safety precautions were relayed to participants, bright yellow safety jackets, red sacks and litter picks, on loan for the day by East Hampshire District Council, were distributed
Then everyone set off for a major attack on litter and clutter around the streets of Liphook.
By lunchtime 75 sacks of litter had been accumulated together with a large amount of miscellaneous debris all of which will be disposed of by the district council.
