Despite strong gusts of wind and a few showers, St Luke's traditional village fete was a great success at the weekend.
Staged by two Anglican churches – St Luke's Milland and St Luke's Linch – the event took place at the recreation ground and Memorial Hall, on Saturday afternoon, and managed to raise £2,700 in aid of both churches.
Most popular with children were the miniature model railway and pony rides on Jessie and Rhubarb, while adults could indulge in cream teas, cakes and listen to the sounds of The Jazz Smugglers, who had travelled all the way from Bosham to entertain the crowds.
